Description
Air fryer honey butter toast, a delightful combination of crispy, caramelised bread and rich, buttery sweetness, has taken the internet by storm. This simple yet decadent treat is soft and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and bursting with flavour.

- 80g softened butter
- 80g brown sugar
- 40g honey
- 4 x 3cm thick slices of brioche, milk bread, or challah
Optional for Extra Deliciousness
- 2 tsp miso (optional) or a pinch of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For Serving
- Crème fraîche or cream
- Hazelnuts
- Caramel sauce
Instructions
- Trim the crusts off the sliced bread and set aside.
- Place the softened butter into a mixing bowl along with the sugar, miso (or salt), and honey. Mix together with a spoon or spatula until light and fluffy. This will make the mixture easy to spread.
- Place a piece of parchment paper onto a baking sheet, just bigger than the bread.
- Spread the butter mixture on all sides of the sliced bread, then bake it in the oven or air fryer.
Cooking Instructions
- In the Air Fryer, Preheat to 180°C (350°F). Cook for 9 minutes, flip, and cook the other side for an additional 6-8 minutes or until deep golden brown.
- In the Oven, Preheat to 160°C (320°F). Cook for 10 minutes, flip, and cook the other side for an additional 8-10 minutes or until deep golden brown.
- Remove the toast and allow it to cool and crisp up for 10 minutes.
- Serve with crème fraîche or cream, caramel sauce, and hazelnuts.
